SINGAPORE – 31 August 2021 marks the last day of the Uplift Fund. The fund was established by Park Hotel Group and YMCA of Singapore in August 2020 and to date, over S$850,000 has been raised which assisted 1,096 recipients through the challenging period.
The aim of the Uplift Fund is to provide financial relief for the Singapore community during the pandemic. It was also the first of such funds to prioritise the affected workforce in the Hospitality and Food & Beverage sectors. Close to 30% of the beneficiaries fall in this industry and many of whom used the support on necessities such as food and medication.
The YMCA of Singapore and Park Hotel Group would like to express our most sincere appreciation to the partners and applicants who had reached out to us. Because of you, we could make a significant difference to the community and uplift the lives of those in need.
