New hotel located on historical Oike street in the heart of Kyoto is an ideal spot to immerse in key festivities including Gion Matsuri
KYOTO, Japan and SINGAPORE – Park Hotel Group, a leading hospitality company in Asia Pacific, opened Park Hotel Kyoto today, heralding the Group’s debut on the main island “Honshu”, Japan. Park Hotel Kyoto which is located on the famous Oike Street, one of the major streets at the center of Kyoto city, is the hospitality company’s second property in Japan. The hotel is jointly owned by Park Hotel Group and Apricot Capital.
“Opening Park Hotel Kyoto complements Grand Park Otaru in Hokkaido, offering our guests another beautiful destination in Japan to experience our signature culturally-rooted, globally-inspired hospitality. It also represents our commitment to expand in key destinations around the world beginning with Asia Pacific so that our guests have more choices when they travel. Kyoto has always had extremely strong domestic demand and Park Hotel Kyoto will benefit from the resumption of domestic travel. Similarly, as the cultural capital of Japan is also a top destination for international travellers, we are confident that the hotel is well positioned to ride on the recovery when borders reopen,” said Allen Law, Chief Executive Officer of Park Hotel Group.
“We are thrilled to open our doors and welcome guests to enjoy a comfortable and enriching experience at Park Hotel Kyoto. With our ideal location so accessible to the iconic attractions in Kyoto, our guests can enjoy the best of what the destination has to offer. To ensure the safety of our guests and their peace of mind during their stay, we have taken necessary precautionary measures, which includes placing hand sanitisers in the public areas and implementing temperature screening at the hotel entrance,” shared Kazuhiko Saito, General Manager of Park Hotel Kyoto.
